Evolyte Analytics: Social Media ROI Finally Unlocked

07.30.10 Posted in Analysis, Marketing, Measurement, Selling by seanMeverett

Here we are again.  Another tired post claiming to unlock the secret behind calculating ROI (return on investment) for Social Media.  μ

The holy grail of web 2.0 analytics that companies like Klout and Twitalyzer claim to provide.

My problem with these companies?  They measure influence only through Twitter.  Yes, Twitter, just like everyone else.  The problem with that?  It only represents 10% of all the sharing across the web.  Let me say that again.  Effing TEN PERCENT!  Oh, so you’re thinking about Facebook’s new like button.  Guess how much sharing happens on Facebook?  Yup, still a fraction.  Try 15%.

So where is the rest of it you ask?  Email.  A Whopping 75% of sharing happens through good ole faithful email.

What if we told you we could show you specifically who (by name!) is providing the most influence not only for your website homepage, but every other page on your site (it’s not always the same person).  What if we went a step further and showed you the same information, but for online ads (e.g., banner ads).  Ok, what if we went even FURTHER and gave all this information to you auto-magically without you have to do absolutely anything or learn any software.  Yah, made it all simple-like.

Well, that would be pretty great.  Sure, we can do that for you.  It’s called Evolyte Analytics and we’ve spent all of 2010 developing it, and we’re still not done because we create perfection, nothing less.  Sign up for our beta using the link above.  We’re still working on our coming soon page.  here’s a potential design we’re considering.

See y’all in the twitter-sphere, or maybe email in this case… ;)
